Antiquary Blended 12yo

A rounded, smooth blend, the Antiquary 12 year old is a great whisky which Jim Murray awarded an incredible 92 points to in his 2013 Whisky Bible.
Nose
Malt, citrus notes, glue, stone flour, smoke removed, some pipe tobacco, some honey, tender apple
Taste
sweet nut flour, lemon drops, tree sap, freshly sliced better, ginger, licorice, bittersweet – quite smooth – but here and there the alcohol is tickling more clearly in the mouth. At first it looks rather thin – but becomes more intense on the palate

Finish
The finish is quite long with oak and caramel.
