The Tomatin 12 Year Old is smooth and silky, having been matured in traditional Scotch Whisky, ex-Bourbon and ex-Spanish Sherry casks. A rich, fruity aroma is the prelude to sweet flavours of ripe apples, pears and a subtle hint of nut before the long, pleasantly oily finish.
Nose
Cold fresh apples , pears in honey, vanilla mash, sweets, Duchess drink, wood, vanilla.
Taste
The taste is sweetish, soft, slightly bitter, then acidified with citruses, vodka. Some green apples and lemon.
Finish
Short, simple, moonshine, mash, bread and malt. Crust of white bread, bitter herbs, apples and pears, vanilla

Matured in a combination of Bourbon Barrels and Sherry Casks. All Casks are used in initial maturation period which last 11 year and 6 monthe At this point all casks are vatted and the whisky is retured into refill Oloroso Sherry Butts for the final 6-9 months of maturation
